The Accon Click Block combines the criteria of 'maximum freedom of movement for the operator' with a 'minimum fall arrest force in the event of falling'
The device works like a seat belt in a car, with the fastener always remaining in an optimal 'short' position. The operator can move safely in the platform. If a whip effect occurs due to heavy movements in the boom of the MEWP, the lanyard will immediate lock in place and retains the operator in the platform. But even if the operator was to fall out of the basket, he would be safely caught after a very short falling distance
The system is therefore also very convenient when the MEWP is being moved at lower heights. Due to the appliances integrated, fall-attenuating function, forces of no more than 3 kN will exert on the attachment point and the person concerned. Hence, the attachment point cannot fail and a person cannot sustain severe internal injuries as a result of large forces. This light-weight system is insensitive to weather circumstances and extremely user-friendly. It therefore meets the requirements concerning a MEWP in an ideal way
